All personalisation placeholders are held in double curly brackets. 

This would be an example of how to personalise the way you address a recipient:

In principal we recommend that you add personalised elements by using the ‘Personalisation’ button in the editor.

In step 5 (‘Send’) you can test your personalisations by carrying out a test dispatch.
