How do I set up a plentymarkets connection and which rights need to be assigned to the user in order that the web shop integration can work?
Hint: In order to use the Plentymarkets Plug-In, you will need your own Newsletter2Go account. If you don’t yet have an account, you can easily register for free via this link: Register for free.
There are two ways to set up the plug-in to your Plentymarkets shop:
- If you have a shop that is hosted by Plentymarkets, you can activate the Newsletter2Go service in your account.
- All other Plentymarkets shops can be used with the plug-in. The plug-in must be set up manually.
Option 1:
- Log in to your plentymarkets shop.
- After clicking on the Settings wheel (top left) go to Mandant(Shop) -> Standard -> Services and then Newsletter2Go.
- If you already have your own Newsletter2Go account, enter your API key here. You will find your API key in your account under Settings -> Plug-ins. Copy the complete key and paste it as shown below, then click save.
- If you do not yet have a Newsletter2Go account, select ‘Create new Newsletter2Go account‘ and enter the information required. Don’t forget to accept the Terms and conditions.
- The set up process will automatically create a SOAP user in your account and the login details will be carried across, which in turn enables the exchange of data between the two systems.
- If you would like to synchronise your contacts straight away, log in to your Newsletter2Go account. You will find your Plentymarkets plug-in under Settings -> Plug-ins. Click on ‘login details’ and check the box for ‘recipient synchronisation of the last 24 hours‘. If you just wish to synchronise your newsletter recipients, check the box for ‘Just synchronise newsletter recipients‘. A click on ‘Complete setup‘ will initiate your recipient synchronisation; and your recipients will be updated daily from now on.
- To be able to use the 1 click product transfer feature, you will need to order a customised premium template with web shop integration. You can do this in your account under Account -> Templates.
Option 2:
- Log in to your Plentymarkets shop and go to ‘Settings’ -> ‘Basic Settings’ -> ‘Users’-> ‘Accounts’.
- Create a new user
- Under ‘Core Data’ choose a user name and a password and make a note of them. Set the user category to ‘API’.
- If you run a multishop, select the desired multishops under “Rights” -> ‘Visibility’.
- Under ‘ API’ check the box next to ‘Customer’ (for recipient synchronisation), ‘Item’ (for article transferral) and ‘GetMultiShops’ under ‘Webshop’ (only if you run a web shop).
- Log in to Newsletter2Go and insert the username, password and your shop URL under ‘Settings’ -> ‘Plug-ins’ -> ‘Plug-ins to web shops’. If you require, check the box by ‘Daily recipient synchronisation at 4am’.
